SD Card corrupt issue

I've been using TinyPilot for the past nine months, but I need to reset the device about once a month.

Is there a better solution for this?

I once tried booting from a USB drive, but the TinyPilot OS was lagging.

Also, could you recommend a reliable memory card to keep as a backup, and suggest a good flash drive for the same purpose?

Hi Vishank, thanks for your message. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the reliability of your TinyPilot device.

Most TinyPilot devices run for extended periods of time with no issues, so if you're having to reset your TinyPilot device so frequently, there may be other factors involved. I'd be happy to investigate this with you.

If you wish to try a different storage device, an external USB SSD will be the most reliable option, provided it has a dedicated power supply, or you connect it via a powered USB hub. I can't recommend specific USB sticks or microSD cards, as availability varies with location. As a general guide, "Class 10" microSD cards, or ones marked for "industrial use" or "data logging", tend to be a good bet.

In the short term, you may want to enable the read-only filesystem, as it will drastically reduce the chances of filesystem corruption regardless of which storage device you use.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions.
