Windows 11 - missing USB Storage
Hello,
Windows 11 based installations can't see USB Storage, so installation from Virtual Media is not possible.
Is there any workaround ?

Windows fails to boot from TinyPilot's virtual USB drive, and the virtual CD-ROM drive is limited to files of 2.2 GB. The only workaround is to create a custom Windows 11 installation image that's less than 2.2 GB and mount it from TinyPilot in CD-ROM mode.

Why It's limited to 2.2 GB ? It's relatively small size for operating systems released recently. Most of those comes at least in DVD size.

TinyPilot can emulate a CD-ROM but not a DVD-ROM. CD-ROMs are limited to 2.2 GB in size.
We're interested in emulating a DVD-ROM as well, but it's a significant amount of work.

In 2024 has anything changed on this? I am looking into a working method of bootstrapping a new PC using the TinyPilot, but ran into this issue with the Win11 ISO mounted via Virtual Media as well. Ended up just popping a "regular" USB drive directly into the PC, but it sure would be convenient to be able to do it all from the TP.

Unfortunately, booting standard Windows ISO images is still unsupported. The limitation is that TinyPilot can only emulate CD-ROMs (which are limited to 2.2GB).
Other users have successfully been able to to use TinyPilot to boot into Windows images using WinPE. And one user shared their full tutorial on installing Windows with Virtual media and WinPE, which you might find helpful.
